The Workplace Cafe Banawa: Updated Review, Opening Hours and More
The Workplace Cafe Banawa is a coworking space located at the 1st Autogas gas station on the main R. Duterte Street in Banawa, Guadalupe. Targeted mostly at students The Workplace Cafe Banawa features affordable hourly billing and great opening hours: it’s always open except for the mornings.

All branches of The Workplace Cafe generally offer everything you need to stay put for a while: a whole menu of affordable food options, comfortable height-adjustable chairs (except for the cubicles), a beanbag napping area, and a clean CR (rest room). Electrical outlets are plenty and support a variety of plugs. Wifi is good. Read more about the facilities below.

The atmosphere is usually focused. Depending on where you sit sunlight can be sparse but the rooms are generally well-lit. In terms of personal space, we felt that this branch is the most generous one of the three existing branches, making for comfortable working. The cubicles for making calls are also the most spacious ones.

The Company IT Park: A Working Space for Professionals
The Company IT Park is a coworking space in Cebu for professionals. If you’re looking for a larger space that organizes community events and focuses on freelancers and small teams, then The Company IT Park is what you’re looking for in Cebu.

Note that this is the second branch of The Company coworking spaces in Cebu, and it opened in February 2019. For the original branch see our review of The Company Mandaue.

The Company IT Park has two big things going for it. The first is sunlight. It’s located on the 15th floor and two sides of the space are covered with windows, so it’s flooded with sunlight. The second advantage is of course its location: IT Park offers plenty of food options, and it’s a central location, which makes it a decent choice to meet up with people.

In terms of facilities, The Company in IT Park offers very different levels of service between hot seats and offices.

In the hot seat area, what’s on offer is a bit disappointing in comparison to other spaces. Wifi is okay, but regularly not good enough for stable video calls. (We recommend The Company Mandaue for video calls: stable internet and call booths!) Electrical outlets are available via Type A extension cords only, and those you have to figure out yourself. The chairs are comfortable for a short while but are not ergonomic or height adjustable. The restrooms are great.

In the offices that you can rent on a monthly basis the situation is better in terms of chairs and outlets—we don’t know if the Internet is better there. One big highlight of this space though is the call booths, which allow privacy for the occasional meeting.

We last visited The Company IT Park in November 2019.

The opening hours depend on your plan. The opening hours for the reception and hot seat area are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 7 PM. If however you avail of a monthly plan or rent an office space, you have 24 / 7 access.

The Company Mandaue: Updated Review, Opening Hours, and More
The Company Mandaue is one of our favorite places to work. The work facilities are great and the atmosphere is friendly and quiet. See also the new branch in IT Park.

The Internet is stable and fast, and the ambience supports focusing. The occasional video call is private and does not annoy others thanks to two phone booths.

When is it not the right space? When you need sunlight; there isn’t much to have there.

We last visited The Company Mandaue branch in October 2019.

How to Get a New Temporary License Plate for Motorcycles in SM City, Cebu
Lost your temporary license plate? Ugh—me too! How did I lose mine?

So, that night I was playing roulette in Waterfront and ran out of money. So I told the croupier… just kidding. I probably didn’t fasten the plate well enough. But one day it was there, the next day it wasn’t.

Anyway, I needed a new temporary license plate. Here’s how I got one, and how you can get one.

Summary

The store “Stick On Me” prints license plates. For ₱300 they’ll print you a plate. It takes an hour.
