Cebu North Bus Terminal: How To Make Way To The Northern Cebu

Cebu North Bus Terminal offers a unique experience: departing passengers searching for their designated bus, while those arriving arrange their next travel plans, possibly to the airport. However, the North Bus Terminal also provides an opportunity to leave the city and explore destinations like Malapascua, Bantayan, or even Bacolod.

The Cebu North Bus Terminal caters to all routes heading North and West of Metro Cebu, supporting the South Bus Terminal. Here, you can find major bus companies such as Metro Cebu Autobus, D’ Rough Riders, Sugbo Transit Express, and the most favored, the yellow Ceres Bus Liner. If you prefer not to take a bus, there are also vans for hire, known as V-hires, and mini buses that travel to Catmon, Sogod, and Tuburan.

Cebu North Bus Terminal Address

The Cebu North Bus Terminal can be found at Sm City Cebu, adjacent to the SM MyBus terminal. You can reach it by taking a motorcycle or a taxi, or if you are at any of the SM branches, you can use MyBus.

Cebu North Bus Terminal Bus Destinations

Cebu to Danao City Port / Camotes

If you plan to go to Camotes Island, you need to go to Danao Port and take a ferry from there going to the island. You can take any busses at the North Bus Terminal, as all buss pass through Danao Port. You just need to ask the conductor or driver to drop you there.

Cebu to Maya / Malapascua

Planning to go to Malapascua? Malapascua is one of the best-known islands in the northern part of Cebu. Visitors love it for its beaches and the diving spot for thresher sharks. To get there you need to take a ride on the Maya/Daanbantayan route, for example with the yellow Ceres Buses. Just look at the signboard on the buses. You might also ask the driver or conductor to drop you off the Maya port and from there get a boat going to Malapascua Island.

Cebu to Hagnaya / Bantayan

If you’re going to Bantayan Island, you need to take a bus that goes to Hagnaya. Ceres Bus and Sugbo Transit serve that route. One option is to drop off at Hagnaya port and then take a ferry going to Bantayan Island. The other possibly more convenient route is a direct Ceres bus that travels all the way to the island.

Also, if you’re going to Bantayan Island you should leave early as Hagnaya Port doesn’t operate 24 hrs. The last trip to Hagnaya port is at 4:30 pm thus you should take a bus before 1:00 pm as the travel time will take 4 -5 hours.

You can take any bus in Cebu North Bus Terminal that goes to the northern part of Cebu such as Bogo, Medellin, San Remegio, and any other destinations.

If you are a tourist traveling I would advice you to take the aircon bus as it is comfy and more spacious compared to V-hire. It also has a tv on board.

Most buses like Ceres and Sugbo Transit always stop by at Carmen Bastap for 10-15 mins. Here you can buy some snacks and use the restroom if you need to.

V-Hire (Van for Hire) Option to Northern Cebu

Similar to Cebu South Bus Terminal, you also have the option to take a V-Hire (van for hire) to northern Cebu. Prices vary depending on your destination. It’s just cost a bit more than buses.
